As you can tell by now i realy like my birds lol, i think this was discovered im my second year project. i actually realy enjoyed gift but i dont think i could give up on print and embroidery.

Second year work, selected for Paris

I no it looks untidy but all the items on the left are going to Indigo Paris, Fingers crossed i sell something, should be a good day, i no im looking forward to it this year.

Im not too brilliant at moodboards but i think this reflects my dark, victorian theme rather well.

Close up detail of one of my A1 drawings. I think that my birds of prey will become a big part of my collection, i love the pattern the feathers create.

It has taken a few weeks, but i have almost finished my 3rd sheet, This bird cage actually looks quite good as a photograph.
I love peacock feathers, even though they are surrounded by taboos of bad luck... or so Ive been told. although i have not quite captured the colour i think i will be using these throughout my final collection.

Detail is my thing and I'm a bit O.C.D when it comes to detail, i wont stop until i have got it looking perfect and i think the colours in this crow demonstrate this.

I think my bird is cute and has a lot of decorative potential.

Here are some images of my friend Katy Dawson from second year Textiles. She has been working very hard in this project, so hard in fact that we are no longer joined at the hip. I no i don't comment very much on peoples work and id like to start here. Her work is so highly embellished and beautifully depicts the foliage she has recorded in her drawings.
Please make me one of your flowers for my birthday. They are very....nice

Image taken from my minor project based on a holiday to Cuba in 2008. Within my work i like to use a lot of contrasting colours, however, i do feel i need to vairy my portfolio a little and will be using a darker colour pallet for my final project.

Here is one of my first images i have use for my final major project. The bird was drawn from the Natural History museum and the swirls were taken from a piece of lace in the V & A. I hope you like it, i think these colours will play a big part in my collection.
